Fantasy Football Start em, Sit em: Mark Andrews, Rashod Bateman, Diontae Johnson (Week 10)

Start or set? Starting or seating decisions in fantasy football can be agonizing. While it feels great to make the right decision and achieve fantasy glory, it hurts just as much when someone throws a tantrum on the bench. You can use our “Who should I start with?” Tool to help you get advice from fantasy football experts as you make your lineup decisions. And you can also sync your fantasy football league with our My Playbook tool for free for customized advice, rankings and analysis.

Let's take a look at some polarizing players and the advice of fantasy football expert Derek Brown. And for all of DBro's fantasy football prospects, check out this week's Fantasy Football Primer.

Fantasy football starting and sit-em lineup tips

Diontae Johnson (WR)

Johnson only had a 27.3% route share last week despite not setting a target. That time frame is too short to expect Johnson's involvement to expand enough to be a fantasy prospect this week. Put it back this week.

Rashod Bateman (WR)

Bateman is a slight miss this week. The connection between Bateman's bending and sitting can be boiled down to her ability to defend deep passes. Bateman ranks second on the team in deep targets. Deep targets account for 21.6% of his target volume this season. Cincy has allowed the sixth-fewest deep passing yards and the fourth-fewest deep passing CPOE per game. While I don't expect Diontae Johnson to have a 70% route share this week, there is still a risk that Bateman's snaps could be cannibalized by Johnson in two wide receiver sets. Sit with Bateman this week.

Mark Andrews (TE)

Last week, Andrews had just a 49% snap rate (his lowest since Week 4) and a 46% route share, which likely had something to do with their blowout win against Denver. In Weeks 5-8, Andrews had a route share of 54.4%, a target share of 14.1%, a YPRR of 2.48 and a first read share of 15.7%. Andrews scored six red zone goals and four points in that four-game stretch. This week's game against Cincy should be a more competitive game, which should lead to more snaps and routes for Andrews. Cincy has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game and the eighth-most receiving yards per game to tight ends.
