Vancouver Police Department investigators are investigating this as a homicide.

The child who was in the vehicle is safe and is being cared for by family members.

Vancouver, Wash. – At approximately 4:25 this morning, Vancouver Police responded to the 300 block of N. Blandford Drive for a report of a deceased female in a car. When officers arrived, they found a deceased woman in the car and a small child in the car who did not appear to be physically injured.

The Vancouver Police Department's Major Crime Team is investigating.
