Section of Bluegrass Parkway is closed after semi-truck rolls over and catches fire

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – A section of the Bluegrass Parkway is closed after a semi-truck flipped onto its side and caught fire.

Responding to the accident, emergency crews were called to the Bluegrass Parkway in Anderson County around 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

While they respond, the Bluegrass Parkway is closed in both directions between mile markers 42 and 48.

The Anderson County Fire Protection District said the road will be closed for several hours while emergency crews respond.

According to Lexwrecks, motorists can detour at Exit 42 in Springfield when traveling east and at Exit 48 in Willisburg when traveling west.
