TikToker finds love after shopping for a man at Home Depot

This is one way to find a stallion.

A TikTok creator went shopping for a man at her local Home Depot — and found the perfect solution to her chaotic dating life in the hardware aisle.

In a now-viral video, Katelyn Ansari approached a man she described as sweet and handsome as he was shopping at a hardware store and asked him for advice on how to hang a large picture frame that didn't actually exist.

“Can you help me find the things I need?” she asked the stranger, who then led her down a hallway and handed her a hook and some wire.

The video, titled “I quit dating apps to find myself a worker at Home Depot,” has since generated nearly 6 million views on TikTok.

The flirty ploy ended with the two exchanging numbers, texting and going on their first date, according to follow-up videos she posted to her platform.

“It felt like a modern fairy tale,” Ansari told People.

“He made me believe in love and romance again.”

After several bad experiences, Ansari swore off dating apps and turned to her local hardware store in Texas to find an eligible bachelor the old-fashioned way – in person – using the “Home Depot Dating” trend to thank that she came up with the idea, People reported.

Over the past year, single ladies have taken to the social platform to brag about their sweet success in the aisles full of screwdrivers and appliances and film themselves looking “confused” as they hope to find a potential soulmate.

“I really didn’t think it would work,” she said.

“I've been single for about two years and have had a few dates on and off, but honestly every guy I've met on Bumble or Hinge has been a no-go.”

Ansari confirmed that the couple had since become an item, People reported, adding that she kept their courtship a secret until she knew “he was the man he said he was.”

Last month, she took their relationship seriously online.
