Liam Payne: Police raided hotel where singer was found dead | Ents & Arts News

Police officers in Argentina continue to search the hotel where Liam Payne was found dead last week, new photos show.

Officers were seen entering and exiting the Hotel Casa Sur in Buenos Aires and filling out paperwork.

Payne fell from a third floor balcony on October 16th redeemed overwhelming honors for the 31-year-old singer.

A toxicology test on the former One Direction singer's body is not yet completedArgentine authorities said after reports of cocaine being found in his system.

The results of this examination, as well as a histopathological report, are required before the body can be returned to the family, a representative of the local prosecutor's office told the singer's father, Geoff Payne, who lives in Argentina.

These results are not expected to be published for several weeks.

Investigators found what appeared to be narcotics and alcohol scattered around broken items and furniture PayneIn his hotel room, prosecutors suspected he had suffered a substance abuse-induced breakdown around the time of his fall.

Authorities said Payne may have been in a state of “semi- or total unconsciousness” when he fell from his hotel balcony.

It comes as Payne's girlfriend of two years Kate Cassidy revealed the couple had done it planned to get married Next year.

Ms Cassidy, 25, had been in Argentina with Payne until two days before his death.

On Wednesday, she wrote in an Instagram post: “A few weeks ago we sat outside on a beautiful evening and manifested our life together.”
