Lamar Jackson does the impossible with his magical run for the Ravens

At this point, Lamar Jackson could potentially do anything with his feet on the football field.

Because on Thursday evening in the third quarter in Baltimore, he quickly turned a play that seemed dead into a near-touchdown and ultimately helped the Ravens to a 35:34 thriller victory over the rival Bengals.

Jackson threw three touchdown passes in the fourth quarter and the Ravens stopped Cincinnati with a 2-point conversion with 38 seconds left to secure the win.

The Ravens rallied from a 21-7 deficit in the third quarter, overcoming a big play from Cincinnati receiver Ja'Marr Chase, and the comeback began on the strength of Jackson's impressive run.

With a third-and-9 at the Bengals' 11-yard line, the Ravens' quarterback took a snap out of the shotgun and scrambled to his right.

And then I climbed back a bit.

And then more.

In total, he was pursued by three Bengals defenders to about the 32-yard line.

But then Jackson charged forward down the sideline, tiptoeing to stay in the field and avoid the Bengals' linebackers and secondary players.

He then fired a smidge down the middle of the field for the first down and nearly scored a touchdown before being tackled at the 1-yard line.

“I'm just trying to make a difference. That was all,” Jackson said. “I wanted to throw the ball away, but when I turned around I had space.”

Officially it was only a 10-yard gain, but according to Next Gen Stats, he managed a total of 58.1 yards with his feet on the run.

It was an incredible play that allowed Derrick Henry a touchdown on the next play, cutting the Bengals' lead to 21-15.

“It starts with Lamar and a lot of times it ends with Lamar,” Baltimore coach John Harbaugh said. “But between Lamar and Lamar, there are a lot of great players surrounding him. I think that’s kind of where our offense is at right now.”

Jackson finished the strong night with 290 passing yards, four touchdowns (no interceptions) and 33 rushing yards in a big AFC North win.
