Man arrested in connection with arson investigation

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. (KFVS) – An investigation into a fire in Caruthersville leads to an arrest.

Officers were called to a report of a structure fire at 405 Ferguson Avenue on Thursday, November 7th.

According to Caruthersville police, someone told officers at the scene that they saw a man wearing dark clothing in the backyard before the fire started.

Police said that information and investigation led to a 31-year-old man in the 400 block of Cotton Avenue.

The man was arrested and booked into the Pemiscot County Justice Center, where he is being held pending formal charges.

No further information about the fire was released.
