Case details:

According to a criminal complaint filed on June 6, 2024, a known female victim and her son reported to the State Police barracks in Clarion with concerns about possible fraudulent bank account activity by Gayle Raybuck between September 27, 2021 and February 10, 2023.

Through the investigation, it was discovered that Raybuck had power of attorney over the victim and had access to her financial account. According to the complaint, Raybuck deprived the victim of $13,500.00 during this period.

Working with the Clarion County Agency on Aging, it was determined that $4,400.00 was withdrawn from the victim's bank account through unauthorized ATM purchases and $9,100.00 was withdrawn through power of attorney withdrawals, the complaint states.

The complaint states that the victim's son's signature was forged on an agent's power of attorney confirmation in which the victim authorized Raybuck as the power of attorney.

During an interview with police, Raybuck reported that the ATM and power of attorney transactions were solely for the victim's rent, according to the complaint.

Raybuck was arraigned before District Judge Timothy Schill at 12:11 p.m. June 6.
