Tesla (TSLA) earnings beat expectations after strong deliveries

Tesla Inc.Shares of 's soared after the automaker reported surprisingly strong earnings and forecast vehicle sales growth of up to 30% next year.

Third-quarter results were boosted by Tesla turning things around with the Cybertruck and turning a profit for the first time. Lower material costs, an expanding energy business and the sale of regulatory credits to automakers that need help meeting emissions limits also contributed to Tesla's best quarterly results in more than a year.
