Man arrested for multiple property crimes in Oconee Co.

WALHALLA, SC (FOX Carolina) – The Oconee County Sheriff's Office said a man was arrested on multiple warrants for property crimes.

According to the sheriff's office, 38-year-old Cortney Lamont Vincent was charged with two separate property crimes that occurred at two different addresses on Garden Circle, which is near Wells Highway and halfway between Seneca and Clemson.

In one incident, officers said Vincent broke into a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck and stole a tool bag containing various hand tools.

He broke into a home at another location on Garden Circle at night and caused damage to the interior of the home and to an outdoor air conditioning unit, tearing cabinets from the walls, ripping a shower unit from the wall, destroying walls, breaking a window, and causing others Damage, according to deputies.

Officials said damages to the home totaled about $14,053.

He was charged with one count of first-degree burglary, burglary of a motor vehicle, petit larceny and malicious damage to property.

He was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on bonds totaling $72,205.
