Fourth arrest in connection with Applebee's parking lot shooting

SAN ANTONIO – Another man was just arrested in connection with a murder in New Braunfels.

According to New Braunfels police, 20-year-old Marcus Gonzales of San Antonio is currently in the Comal County Jail on murder charges in connection with the death of 19-year-old Chance Herron of New Braunfels. He was shot to death in the parking lot of an Applebee's on October 1st. A 20-year-old woman was also injured.

Gonzales is the fourth person arrested.

Last month, 20-year-old Richard Rosas of Converse, 20-year-old Jacob Roswer of Converse and 20-year-old Justin Sherard were also arrested and are also facing murder charges.

We have been informed that the investigation into this case is ongoing. New Braunfels Police detectives are working to close the case. Once completed, the case will be forwarded to the Comal County District Attorney's Office.
