Man shot dead in hunting incident in rural Moorhead

MOORHEAD, MIN. (KVRR) – A man is in the hospital after being shot in the head in a hunting accident in rural Moorhead.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the area of ​​the 4600 block of 90th Avenue N just before 8 a.m. Saturday for a report that a man had been struck by gunfire during a hunting incident.

Upon arriving at the scene, Clay County Sheriff's deputies located the man and began administering first aid.

The 34-year-old Dilworth man was transported to Sanford Hospital by Sanford Airmed. His condition is not being disclosed at this time.

The incident remains under investigation.
