One was taken to hospital in Nashville after the rollover crash in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WSMV) – One person has been taken to a hospital after a rollover accident in Springfield, according to Smokey Barn News (SBN).

The accident happened just before 9 a.m. Saturday on South Main Street near Watson Road, SBN reported.

SBN said the vehicle left the road and rolled several times before crashing into a tree. Debris from the crash was scattered over 30 meters.

Witnesses told officers the vehicle swerved, narrowly missing an oncoming car and flipping another vehicle sideways before leaving the road.

The driver of the vehicle was taken by Robertson County EMS to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. The driver did not suffer life-threatening injuries but was transported to be evaluated for possible internal injuries, SBN reported.

SBN reported that Springfield police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Robertson County EMS, Springfield Police and the Springfield Fire Department responded to the crash.
