The Bath County Sergeant confirms the death of the deputy sheriff

BATH CO., Ky. (LEX 18) – A Bath County sheriff’s deputy has died.

The death of Deputy Sheriff Wes Everman of Detachment 269 was announced in a Facebook post by Sergeant Bennie Buckler Sr. of the Bath County Sheriff's Department.

The post states: “Wes was an integral part of law enforcement and served the Bath County community for 43 years. We pray for his loved ones and mourn the loss of a great man.”

Details of his death have not been released at this time.
