Basketball fight in Auburn aboard flight leaves player bloodied and clothing torn: report

New details about a fight Auburn Men's Basketball The team on board a plane that led to the flight being turned around has shed some light on the extent of the altercation.

Some reports initially suggested the altercation was not physical, but according to radio communications between the pilot and air traffic control, the situation escalated.

According to audio recordings obtained by WBMA, the pilot asks that the flight turn around to Auburn and that the “sheriff or police” wait there for their return.

“Well, they got out of there and the fight was contained. We talked to the trainer, and then there's a nurse on board – we talked to them,” the pilot can be heard saying.
