Midlothian stabbing: Two teenagers were stabbed and seriously injured in a fight in the 14500 block of Knox Avenue, police said

MIDLOTHIAN, Ill. (WLS) — A suspect is in custody after two teenagers were seriously injured in a stabbing in a southern suburb on Friday evening, police said.

Midlothian police officers responded to the 14500 block of Knox Avenue just after 10:30 p.m. for a report of shots fired and possible stabbing victims.

The responding officers learned that there had been a fight between several people and two young people.

The two teenagers who were stabbed were taken to local hospitals in serious to critical condition.

Officers took a suspect into custody. This individual is being held at Midlothian Police Station for further investigation.

Midlothian detectives are investigating. The police initially did not provide any further information.
