A serious accident has closed a portion of the highway in North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT (WFSB) – A serious accident shut down part of a highway in North Haven Saturday evening.

State Police said troopers responded to the area of Exit 12 on I-91 South for the crash at approximately 7:59 p.m.

EMS and the North Haven Fire Department also responded.

Possible injuries have been reported. The extent is unknown.

The area was closed pending an investigation but has since reopened.

No further information was available.
