3 injured in shooting near University of Louisiana Lafayette | Crime/Police

At least three people were injured in a shooting outside a restaurant across from the University of Louisiana Lafayette campus after Saturday night's homecoming football game, according to Lafayette police.

The shooting occurred in the 400 block of E. University Avenue at a popular fried chicken restaurant called KOK Wings and Things, according to authorities. The Caronna Hall student residence is directly across the street.

LPD investigators were on scene as of 8 p.m

No further information was available, including the status of the victims.
