Kamala Harris' stepdaughter Ella Emhoff slams rumors of nervous breakdown after viral photo: 'F**k you'

Ella Emhoff, Kamala Harris' 25-year-old stepdaughter, slammed rumors that she was having a nervous breakdown on Saturday (November 9) after pictures of her visibly upset during her stepmother's concession speech on November 6 went viral.

Since Harris' concession speech, rumors have circulated that Ella was hospitalized following the election loss.

“Not true”

Ella Emhoff denied the rumors on Instagram and wrote: “There is a rumor that I am having a nervous breakdown and will be hospitalized. Not true.”

“F**k you too if you’re out there spreading this. There is nothing wrong with showing emotions and crying. “Anyone who says it is probably needs a good cry,” she added in an Instagram Story.

Emhoff acknowledged her mental health struggles, saying, “I have struggled with my mental health my entire life and I'm not ashamed of it.”

“I was literally just playing fetch with Jerry,” she added in the story, which featured a picture of her holding a blue ball with a dog at her feet.

Previously, in another post on her Substack Soft Pins, she emphasized that it is normal and healthy to show emotions, especially during difficult times.

Describing her feelings after election day, she wrote: “Ugh… What. A. Week”.

“I feel like we all need that extra something this week. I know we are all feeling a lot of emotions right now. This is normal and it would be strange if we weren't. I know I’ve been through about ten cycles of sadness, anger and stress – and that was just this morning.”

She advised her followers to let their emotions flow so that they don't build up inside.

In a message to her followers on social media, she assured them: “We will all get through this. “It hurts like hell right now and that's okay.”

Throughout the campaign, Emhoff was an active supporter of Harris, often seen at rallies and posting her thoughts online.
