Magnitude 6.6 earthquake strikes Cuba coast: NCM News

A magnitude 6.6 earthquake was recorded on the coasts of Cuba at 8:49 p.m. UAE time on Sunday, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said, according to the National Seismic Network.

However, the U.S. National Tsunami Center said no tsunami warning had been issued following the strong shaking in the Cuba region.

The German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) revised the magnitude of the tremor to 6.6 and said it occurred at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles).
