A “Breaking Bad” star switches sides in this 72% Rotten Tomatoes crime thriller streaming hit

With a 72% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, the crime thriller isn't necessarily a knockout, but it's still worth a watch for those out there who think Cranston can do no wrong. In The intruderbased on the autobiography, The Intruder: My Secret Life in the Dirty Banks Behind Pablo Escobar's Medelín CartelCranston plays the very real role Robert Mazur. Mazur, a U.S. Customs special agent by trade, risked his life and those of his loved ones when he took it upon himself to go undercover and crash Pablo Escobaris the money laundering business. Combining fire with fire, Mazur poses as a dishonest businessman to gain Escobar's trust the drug lord and Bank of Credit and Commerce International, which had ties to First American Bankshares in Washington, DC


When in doubt, it is always best to seek the professional and supportive help of those around you. That's exactly what Furman did when it came to the script The intruder. In a funny, if not often heard, move, the filmmaker turned to none other than his mother to write the script for the film. With a background in literary writing, Ellen Brown Furman took the step and more than mastered the task of bringing the story from the pages of Mazur's autobiography to life in film form.
