Another drive with some momentum stalled after Jalen Hurts was sacked twice, ending the drive.

Hurts throws his first interception since the Saints game

The Eagles were in position to take a two-point lead, but Jalen Hurts threw his first interception since Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints.

On the Dallas 12-yard line, Hurts targeted Dallas Goedert in the end zone, but he was intercepted by Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs.

Cowboys start in FG, return of Slay is questionable

Brandon Aubrey hit a 46-yard field goal to make the score 7-3 with 3:10 remaining in the first quarter.

Early in the first quarter, Eagles cornerback Darius Slay left the game. It is questionable whether he will return due to an ankle injury. Slay missed last week's win over the Jaguars with a groin injury.

Isaiah Rodgers will fill in for Slay alongside rookie cornerback Quinyon Mitchell.

The Cowboys will likely test Rodgers with CeeDee Lamb on the outside if Slay cannot return.

Hurts scores with “Brotherly Shove” and takes a 7-0 lead

Jalen Hurts scored with a brotherly shove to give the Eagles the lead over the Cowboys. Jake Elliott hit the extra point to make it 7-0 with 7:05 left in the first quarter.

Hurts' touchdown was set up by a 12-yard catch by Saquon Barkley at the 1-yard line.

Milton Williams also deserves recognition here. The Eagles took advantage of Williams' fumble recovery on the previous series, leading to the score.

The Eagles' drive stalled on their first possession

The Eagles appeared to be driving down the field with no problems, but some self-inflicted wounds caused them to give the ball back to the Cowboys.

Philadelphia had a first-and-10 at the Dallas 43-yard line, but a series of ugly plays led to them punting. Substitute Fred Johnson, filling in for the injured Jordan Mailata, was called for a false start. Then Jalen Hurts was sacked for a 13-yard loss after running back Kenny Gainwell failed to fend off a blitz by DeMarvion Overshown.

Braden Mann hit the ball 55 yards to the end zone, and Dallas will now take control of the ball midway through the first quarter.
