Titans QB Will Levis will start against the Chargers after being sidelined for three weeks with a shoulder injury

With the benefit of an early rest, Levis returned to the starting lineup in Week 6 and completed 16 of 27 passes for 95 yards, a touchdown and an interception in a 20-17 loss to the Colts. After that game, it became clear that Levis needed more time to recover, and so he sat on the bench for the next three weeks while Rudolph took over.

Tennessee has had a tough time in 2024 regardless of who is playing quarterback. Levis put in top performances but often made mind-numbing mistakes that contributed to their defeats.

Rudolph, on the other hand, operated with a lower ceiling and kept the offense moving despite lacking big-play ability. His best game came last week in an overtime win against New England, where he completed 60.6 percent of his passes for two touchdowns and one interception.

With the Titans all but eliminated from playoff contention at 2-6, evaluating Levis could take precedence over focusing solely on winning games. This weekend they will try to do both against a Chargers team that is gaining momentum and has won three of its last four games on Sunday.
