A juvenile suspect has been arrested in a shooting on Asheville Highway, police said

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Officials with the Knoxville Police Department announced the arrest of the 15-year-old suspect in a shooting on Asheville Highway.

KPD said officers responded to the Kwik Pantry at 7:45 p.m. on Sept. 13 to find a man had been shot in the leg.

Kendall Ridgeway was arrested Saturday at a home on Riverside Drive.

He was wanted on a juvenile criminal case for attempted first-degree murder.
