Panama City man arrested for drunk driving after Bay County crash

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – A Panama City man is under arrest for driving under the influence after a crash on State Road 79.

Florida Highway Patrol officials say the 49-year-old Panama City man was driving north in the outside lane on SR 79 around 3:40 p.m. Sunday afternoon when he veered into the other lane and struck an SUV in front of him.

The collision sent one of the vehicles flying through a grass median into the southbound lane. The other vehicle crossed the southbound lanes of State Road 79 and entered a nearby wooded area.

The Panama City man was then arrested for drunk driving.
