DETROIT – Two people are dead and five others were injured after three people allegedly fired shots into a crowd at a party, authorities said.

A 15-year-old Detroit boy and 19-year-old Gage Schmaltz of Southgate were fatally shot at a block party in Detroit around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, according to a press release from the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.

On Nov. 3, at approximately 1:34 p.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a large gathering at a residence in the 6300 block of Devereaux Street, the release said. When they arrived, they saw shots being fired from a vehicle into a crowd. It is believed the shooting followed a verbal argument.

The 15-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the statement said. Schmaltz was transported by ambulance to a local hospital; he died later that day. Three of the injured victims were transported to a local hospital by ambulance, while the other two were transported in private vehicles.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene immediately after the shooting and officers pursued it to the intersection of Gilbert and Devereaux streets, the release said. There, the defendants allegedly got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.

Johnny Lee Marsh III, 25, and Eladeo Javier-Antonio Garcia, 22, both of Detroit, were arrested after a short foot chase, the release said. Alfonso Anaya, 18, of Detroit, and Amber Renee-Sue McIntee, 21, of Lincoln Park, were arrested Wednesday, November 6th.

Marsh, Garcia and Anaya are each charged with two counts of first-degree murder, four counts of assault with intent to murder, two counts of exiting a motor vehicle causing death, five counts of exiting a motor vehicle causing injury and wearing a… charged with concealed weapon, 14 counts of felony firearm and one count of rest and obstructing a police officer.

Anaya is also accused of fleeing and eluding a police officer.

McIntee is accused of tampering with evidence and lying to a peace officer during a violent crimes investigation.

All four defendants were arraigned Saturday in 36th District Court before Judge Malaika Ramsey-Heath. Marsh, Garcia and Anaya were taken to prison. McIntee's personal bond was set at $75,000.

They are due back in court on Tuesday, November 19th at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Aliyah Sabree.
