Zach Bryan and Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia are no longer “BFFs” — or boyfriend and girlfriend.

The breakup controversy surrounding the Grammy Award-winning, genre-bending singer and hit “BFFs” podcast host is going viral after LaPaglia made revelations on a Thursday episode of her podcast.

“All I wanted was a kinder goodbye,” LaPaglia said, adding that the process of their breakup was “throw it away, leave, goodbye. I cry.”

She claimed that Bryan offered her a $12 million nondisclosure agreement after the breakup – and that she turned it down – adding that she is “standing up for everyone else who has been emotionally abused. It's for people who are currently being emotionally abused. It's for people who are being emotionally abused.” I don't have a support system, which I was lucky to have when I went through this.

USA TODAY has reached out to Bryan's rep for comment.

The podcast, co-hosted by Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards, was full of more revelations, including claims about her night at the Golden Globes and what she said was a surprise breakup announcement.

“The last year of my life was the most difficult year of my life, dealing with the abuse from this guy,” she said, adding that she is “still scared right now because I'm afraid of him.”

Here's what you need to know about the controversy and the two rising superstars.

Zach Bryan Golden Globes Argument: Brianna Chickenfry Claims He Didn't Like Her Dress

LaPaglia subsequently claimed that Bryan “didn't like” her dress at this year's Golden Globes, leading to an explosive disagreement between the two.

“He didn't like my dress,” LaPaglia added, claiming Bryan said “he didn't want to date someone who presented themselves like that.”

“He ruined my night,” LaPaglia said. “Every good thing, every good thing I did for myself, he made sure it was ruined for me. He ruined my birthday, he ruined my tour, he ruined the Golden Globes. Everything Brianna did for Brianna, he had to ruin it.”

She continued: “He makes me think that I have to change my image to keep up with his or something.” She added that the situation between them was “twisted.”

Is Zach Bryan with Raya? Brianna LaPaglia weighs in on the fallout from the split announcement

On Thursday's podcast, LaPaglia said the exes agreed that their split would be publicly announced on their terms in October and that she needed “a week.” However, later that day she found out that Bryan was supposedly on the exclusive dating app Raya, which is often used by influencers and celebrities.

“I don’t think you need Raya, I think you need therapy,” LaPaglia said.

Who is Zach Bryan? Who is Bri Chickenfry?

Bryan, a U.S. Navy veteran and Oklahoma native, is best known for his songs “Revival,” “Something in the Orange,” “Pink Skies,” “Heading South” and “28.” He received a total of four Grammy nominations for his country-specific work. He also won a Grammy Award for his Kacey Musgraves collaboration “I Remember Everything.”

LaPaglia hosts “PlanBri Uncut Barstool Sports” and the podcast “BFFs.” She rose to fame thanks to her popular TikTok account, where she has 1.6 million fans with whom she shares news about life, love, and career.

In May, the couple was involved in a side-by-side car accident and LaPaglia took to TikTok to recount the “traumatizing” incident to fans.

“It rolled over a few times, everything broke, and thank God we had our seatbelts on,” LaPaglia said of the accident that occurred two nights earlier. “But there was a lot of blood and we thought we would say goodbye to each other.”

The two split last month when Bryan announced the split on his Instagram account.

“I respect and love her with all my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and I will always thank her for that,” he said. “I've had an incredibly tough year personally and have had to fight through some pretty tough things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to pursue different paths. I am not perfect and never will be. Please respect Brianna's privacy and space.” and if it's in your heart, then mine too.

Shortly after Bryan's announcement, LaPaglia responded with a message of her own. “Hey guys, I'm feeling really blindsided right now,” she wrote on her own Instagram Story. “I'm going to stay away from social media for a while and try to heal privately. When I’m ready, I’ll be back and ready to talk.”

“How can you give someone everything and love them so unconditionally, like through things you shouldn't do…how can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and have them throw you away in a few days?” LaPaglia wrote to fans , she didn't want to talk about details and “at the moment I wanted to heal privately.”
