The Badgers had a bye week last week.

Del Rio last coached in the NFL in 2017 for the then-Oakland Raiders. It was his second and final stint as a head coach in the NFL.

Del Rio replaced Dennis Allen and led the Raiders to a 7-9 record, third in the AFC West, in his first year. Things turned around for Del Rio and the Raiders in 2016, when they posted a 12-4 record and finished second in the AFC West, but fell to the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card game.

After the 2016 season, the Raiders signed Del Rio to a four-year contract extension; However, this was short-lived as he was fired following a 30-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2017 regular season finale, which ended with a 6-10 record.

Before becoming head coach of the Raiders, he was the longtime head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. In 2003, he became the Jaguars' second head coach following the firing of Tom Coughlin.

Del Rio led the Jaguars to the playoffs twice in nine seasons, ultimately finishing the regular season with a 68-71 record. He was released at the end of November 2011. From his time with the Jaguars, Del Rio holds the NFL record for longest tenure by a head coach who never won a division title

Before coaching in the NFL and college, he was a third-round draft pick out of the University of Southern California. He played for four different teams in the NFL, including the New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings.
