The murder suspect's accomplice submits a new bail application

ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (FOX Carolina) – A suspect charged with accessory to murder has made a new bail application after it was initially denied.

Kendall Mims was charged with accessory after the fact, obstruction of justice and felony false imprisonment by the Pendleton Police Department in October after it was discovered that 20-year-old Jessica Barnes and her husband, Brandon Barnes, were strangled in Pickens County and charged with her murder .

An arrest warrant said Mims and her roommate, Victoria Tippett, helped Brandon get rid of Jessica's body.

A judge denied bail for all three suspects in October, but online records show Mims is now asking a district court judge to reconsider that decision.

Mims' defense filed a new bail application on November 6, with a hearing scheduled for early December.

Mims is so far the only suspect in the case to have made a new bail application.
