A vehicle and pedestrian accident shuts down a portion of Interstate 24

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Interstate 24 has caused all westbound lanes to be closed near mile marker 59 in Antioch.

The accident occurred on Monday shortly before 6:45 p.m.

According to TDOT, the pedestrian has serious injuries.

Both Metro Nashville Police and the Tennessee Highway Patrol are on scene.
