Dolphins vs. Rams score and live updates: Monday Night Football stats, highlights and analysis

INGLEWOOD, Calif. – The Rams defense played like a top-10 unit through October, but had yet to face an offense like the Dolphins that was focused on speed and timing. Still, they did well with quick throws and wide-open plays like screens and checkdowns – but on a long third down, three players sniffed past quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and he was able to create a play downfield to Jaylen Waddle, which set up Miami's first touchdown a snap later.

After a three-and-out on their first possession, the Rams' offense started their next drive at the LA 49-yard line because the Dolphins had called a penalty on the previous punt. This should have put them in a position to get the ball into minimum field goal range, but instead Kyren Williams only got one yard on a run, quarterback Matthew Stafford's second-down pass was intercepted by Calais Campbell, the Dolphins' defensive end, deflected and nearly intercepted and then Stafford got a sack on third down that led to their second punt in two possessions.

Just as the Rams were starting to move the ball a bit on offense – their first first down came on their third possession – Stafford again had a pass that was deflected by Campbell, and this time it was intercepted.

For the fifth time this season, the Rams remained scoreless in the first quarter.
