Deforest man arrested after threatening restaurant workers on city's south side

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A DeForest man faces multiple charges after threatening two employees at a fast food restaurant on the city's south side, Madison police reported Monday.

According to MPD, officers were able to collect digital evidence on Oct. 29 after police said the suspect had approached a female employee.

Police said another employee intervened, then the suspect allegedly chased them with a gun.

Later that night, police said a gas station employee called police after seeing the same suspect.

He left the area before authorities arrived on scene, MPD notes.

Afterwards, police say, the same gas station employee saw the man come back.

He called authorities and when the suspect left the area, police conducted a high-risk traffic stop.

The 23-year-old is charged with second-degree recklessly endangering safety and given a suspended sentence.
