On November 12, media outlet OSEN reported that Song Jae Rim was found dead in his apartment in Seoul's Seongdong District. The news was later confirmed by police.
A two-page letter was also reportedly found at the scene. Rumors circulating online have fueled speculation that the actor may have died by suicide. However, an exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed. Authorities said there were currently “no signs of crime” and said the investigation into the actor's death was ongoing. Meanwhile, reports on Koreaboo.com suggest that Song Jae Rim's funeral is scheduled to take place at a funeral home in Yeouido on November 14 at 12:00 p.m. KST. However, a grave site for the actor has not been confirmed.
Song Jae Rim was born in 1985 and made his film debut in the 2009 film “Actresses”. He became famous for his role in the drama “The moon hugs the sun'. He then made notable appearances in projects such as “Two Weeks,” “Unkind Ladies” and most recently “Queen Woo'.
