Fatal accident in Easley leads to closure of busy highway

EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) – Officials said a fatal crash shut down a busy highway in Easley Tuesday morning.

According to the Easley Police Department, US Highway 123 South was closed just before McKinney Dodge toward Clemson.

The Pickens County Coroner's Office confirmed one person is dead.

Drivers were asked to detour on Highway 153 to allow officers and emergency responders to work safely on the roadway.
