110 northbound lanes of the highway were closed after a fatal crashA deadly crash closed all but one northbound lane of the 110 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles Tuesday morning.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) – All but one northbound lane of the 110 Freeway was closed Tuesday morning in downtown Los Angeles due to a crash that left one person dead.

The accident was reported around 5 a.m. on 3rd Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, a car stalled in the middle of the highway and lost consciousness when it was struck by other vehicles.

AIR7 was over the scene of the accident, where there was an extensive backlog for morning commuters.

It is unclear when the northbound lanes will reopen.
