'Evil' icon Kristin Chenoweth says she's 'nothing without my gays'

Kristin Chenoweth is nothing without her gays!

Out Raffy Ermac met with Chenoweth, the famous originator of the role of Glinda in the Broadway version of Evilat the premiere in Los Angeles for the upcoming film adaptation of the musical!

“Hello Icon, good to see you, the gays love you as always.” Out of said.

“I love the gays,” she said, before bursting into a beautiful song, singing: “Without my gays, I’m nothing.”

“At its core, the story is a love story between two women.” Out of asked later. “So what’s it like to see this kind of love story again on the big screen for the masses?”

“I'm just so glad that there are things that we can't do on stage that they can do on film when you come in for a close-up,” Chenoweth replied. “And I'm particularly pleased with what I saw on the faces of Cynthia (Erivo, who plays Elphaba) and Ariana (Grande, who plays Glinda). I saw the movie on a big screen, so certain moments really touched me. As you know, me and Idina, we were playing in the back of the house.

“And I just love that the legacy that we started is now here. People who can't afford to go to New York, see a show, go to a movie, have dinner and book a hotel. “That’s it, bringing it home and that makes me the happiest,” she added.

Out of Chenowith also asked if she could take a song from Grande's discography into the world of Evilwhat it would be.

“'Thank U, Next' definitely! Farther from Fiyero and farther from Elphaba, but come back.”
