Police said they recovered two firearms at the scene.

According to officials, three suspects were arrested and two firearms were seized Friday evening after a group of people allegedly surrounded and trapped an officer in his vehicle.

Officers responded to the area of 485 Canterbury St. in Boston for a report of an officer in trouble. According to a statement from Boston police, he was trapped in his vehicle when “people jumped on his car and banged on the windows.”

At the scene, officers discovered Canterbury Street was blocked by over 100 vehicles, the statement said.

Officers ran down the street looking for the officer in trouble, authorities said. When officers arrived, the group of people allegedly ran toward vehicles in the area.

The DYS corrections officer told the other officers that he was blocked by several vehicles when the side of a vehicle struck his truck and attempted to drive away. The group then began surrounding his vehicle and breaking the windows, he said.

The officer was uninjured and refused medical treatment, police said. He exchanged documents with the operator of the other vehicle involved.

Officers said they saw one of the suspects get into a vehicle without a front license plate. After they asked for his driver's license and registration, the suspect placed his hand on the gear shift and refused to identify himself, the statement said.

Officers asked the person's identity a second time, but he put the car in reverse and drove away, nearly hitting the officers, officials said.

According to the statement, officers pursued the vehicle on foot and asked the suspect to get out of the car. However, he allegedly refused and grabbed a bag, at which point officers drew their firearms and ordered the suspect and passengers not to move.

Officers removed all occupants of the car and handcuffed them, the statement said. They also recovered a firearm and three different license plates and key fobs from the vehicle.

While attempting to disperse the crowd, officers approached another vehicle and asked its occupants for their identification, the statement said. Two of them allegedly gave false names.

Officers allegedly recovered a firearm and two stolen license plates from inside the car and determined that the car was stolen.

Alan Ridenour, 19, from Marlborough; Mario Florian, 19, of Ashland; and Geraldo Colon, 21, of Framingham were arrested Friday at 11:37 p.m., the statement said. They were all expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court.

Ridenour was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and unlawful possession of a large capacity feeder.

Florian was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, and officers also seized approximately $6,680 during a search of the suspect.

Colon was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, receiving a stolen motor vehicle and two counts of failure to conceal a license plate.
