Woman convicted of damaging Irvine Park Christmas Village

CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) – A woman accused of damaging the Irvine Park Christmas Village in Chippewa Falls will be sentenced.

In April 2024, 33-year-old Ebony Hudson of Loudon, Tennessee, was found unfit to stand trial and proceedings were stayed.

The court records also show that the court also ordered mandatory treatment at that time.

Another competency hearing for Hudson was held on November 7, 2024, at which the court found Hudson competent to proceed.

A sentencing hearing was held on November 12, 2024, where Hudson pleaded no contest to second-degree recklessly endangering safety.

Hudson was sentenced to 4 years probation and 11 months in prison with a 330 day sentence.

According to the criminal complaint, at approximately 7:44 a.m. on December 13, 2023, authorities received a report that a vehicle struck Christmas decorations in Irvine Park. Authorities were told an Irvine Park employee parked his truck in front of the van and stopped it. The van continued to hit the truck and the railing. The Irvine Park truck was unoccupied at the time.

The complaint states that the driver was identified as Ebony Hudson based on her Tennessee driver's license.
