FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) — A man was killed in an accident involving a semi-truck in Fresno County on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident occurred just after 3 a.m. near Elkhorn and Howard.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a man in a truck entered the intersection after running a stop sign and ended up in the path of an oncoming large truck.

The tractor-trailer, which officials said did not have a stop sign, crashed into the man's truck, killing him.

A man in the passenger seat of the truck was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the large tractor remained uninjured.

Officials say drugs and alcohol were not involved in the crash.
