Culver City armed robbery: Suspects flee with $12,000 Rolex in early morning incident

Two suspects attacked a man in the parking lot, brandishing firearms and demanding valuables

Culver City Police are investigating an early morning armed robbery that occurred around 3 a.m. on Saturday, November 9th in the 3800 block of Midway Avenue. According to a Culver City Police statement, officers responded to the report later that evening, around 10 p.m.

The incident began when the victim was standing in a parking lot with a friend when two suspects approached. One suspect confronted the victim and pointed a black semi-automatic pistol at his chest, while the second suspect stood behind the victim and struck him in the upper back. The suspects demanded the victim's watch, but the victim gave it up out of fear for his life.

After the robbery, the two suspects got into a black four-door vehicle and fled north on Midway Avenue before heading east on Venice Boulevard, police said.

Authorities describe the suspects as follows:

  • Suspect 1: Black man, approximately 20-25 years old, 1.70 m to 1.75 m tall, slim, wearing a black ski mask, a white and purple jacket and black pants.
  • Suspect 2: Black man, approximately 20-25 years old, 1.70 m to 1.70 m tall, slim, wearing a black ski mask, a red jacket and black pants.
  • Suspicious vehicle: Black four-door sedan with tinted windows.

The suspects allegedly stole a $12,000 Rolex watch, which features a silver strap and a black diamond-encrusted dial.
