Kreischer and Cummings will headline the 2025 Vancouver Comedy Fest

The acts for the first day of the city's 2025 Great Outdoors Comedy Festival have been announced

The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival has announced its first funny people tour of Canada in 2025, including a stop in Vancouver.

Bert “The Machine” Kreischer is headlining the first of three days; He will take the stage on Friday, September 12, 2025. Once named the “top partygoer at the best party school” in the US by Rolling Stone magazine, his life at Florida State served as one of his inspirations Van Wilder from National Lampoon.

This sparked a comedy career and he has become a fixture on the stand-up scene, performing shirtless most of the time. He is also a well-known podcaster and made a film inspired by his interactions with Russian gangsters.

Joining Kreischer on stage (or more accurately, in front of him) will be Whitney Cummings, who rose in the comedy roast scene and created the sitcom 2 broke girls (which lasted six seasons) and starred in Whitney.

Opening for both will be Derrick Stroup, a stand-up comedian from Alabama who just filmed his first comedy special.

The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival will take place September 12-14, 2025 in Stanley Park. The other acts will be announced at a later date. The festival will also have dates in Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg and Halifax.

First day tickets start at $69 and go up to $259 for access to the VIP table. Advance sales begin on November 14th at 10 a.m. Three-day passes start at $159.
