Man accused of punching an officer who was responding to a domestic call

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. (KFVS) – A Caruthersville man is accused of punching a police officer who was responding to a domestic call on Tuesday, November 12th.

According to Caruthersville police, a 42-year-old man became combative when they found him at a home in the 900 block of Laurant Avenue and he punched an officer in the face.

Police said the suspect was arrested shortly afterwards and booked into the Pemiscot County Justice Center.

The suspect is being held pending formal arraignment on third-degree assault and resisting arrest charges.

The officer's condition is unknown.
