New Hampshire man arrested for reckless driving on I-91 in Rocky Hill

ROCKY HILL, CT (WFSB) – A New Hampshire man was arrested Tuesday for reckless driving on Interstate 91 in Rocky Hill after he was caught driving nearly twice the posted speed limit.

22-year-old Hugo Alvarez was stopped by a police officer after he was observed driving at speeds up to 114 mph in a 65 mph zone on the northbound side of I-91, just before Exit 23 drove.

Alvarez was driving a black Subaru sedan when he was pulled over.

During the traffic stop, officers discovered that he did not have a valid driver's license.

He was arrested and charged with reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Alvarez was later released on $2,500 bail and is scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on December 2, 2024.
