One man arrested and one at large in fatal shooting in St. Petersburg

One man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man in St. Petersburg last month and another remains at large.

Eddie Smith III, 26, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the Oct. 30 death of Anthony Ly, 20. Ly was shot in a driveway in the 2800 block of 16th Avenue S.

According to St. Petersburg police, a second man, Datrik Pettis, 23, is wanted in connection with the shooting. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information can call 1-800-873-TIPS.

An arrest report for Smith said the shooting occurred during a drug deal.
