Man turns himself in over fatal Willington crash in 2023

WILLINGTON, CT (WFSB) – State police have arrested a man for a fatal 2023 crash in Willington.

According to police, 19-year-old Dominic Ledbetter of Stafford turned himself in on Monday.

Ledbetter was charged with unreasonable speed, failure to maintain proper lane and negligent homicide by motor vehicle.

The accident occurred on River Road in November 2023.

According to state police. Ledbetter crashed into a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Clifton Graves. They said Ledbetter completely crossed the double yellow line and struck Graves head-on.

Ledbetter only suffered minor injuries as a result.

Graves was taken to Hartford Hospital, where he died.

Ledbetter was released on $50,000 bail and given a Nov. 25 court date.
