A Lincoln teenager is accused of bringing a loaded gun to school, police said

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln Southeast High School student was arrested Monday after investigators learned he brought a gun to school, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

The LPD Gang Unit received a tip around 3 p.m. that a 16-year-old student had a firearm on school property. With school closed for the day, investigators located the teen at his south Lincoln home and took him into custody.

Officers said they found an orange 9mm handgun with six rounds in his backpack.

The teen was arrested and booked on charges of possession of a firearm on school grounds, possession of a handgun by a minor and carrying a concealed weapon without disclosure.
