A Maryland woman has died after an incident involving a golf cart, police said

BALTIMORE – A Maryland woman has died after a golf cart incident in Annapolis on Saturday, Nov. 9, according to Anne Arundel County police.

Officers responded to the 600 block of Maid Marion Hill around 7:24 p.m. after fire officials reported they were assisting an injured person.

According to police, a preliminary investigation revealed that 32-year-old Mary Blasetti of Annapolis suffered life-threatening injuries following an incident involving an EZ-GO golf cart.

According to a police report, a 32-year-old woman was driving at the time of the incident. It is unclear whether the driver sustained any injuries.

Officials did not provide any information about the incident that led to Blasetti's death.

Blasetti was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she died Monday, Nov. 11, police said.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the community had raised about $242,000 for Blasetti's family.
