Two people arrested for drug cultivation and possession of automatic weapons

TABOR CITY, NC (WECT) – Two people were arrested in Columbus County on drug and gun possession charges.

The Columbus County Sheriff's Office arrested Dustin Randall Duncan and Regina Norris of Tabor City on October 27 on charges of possession of automatic weapons, silenced firearms and marijuana cultivation operation.

Duncan was charged with manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for the sale of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver (PWISD), possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession charged with two counts of mass weapon destruction. He is being held without bond.

Norris was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and given a $2,500 bond.

“These arrests underscore the strength of our team and our commitment to protecting the public. The success of this operation would not have been possible without the dedicated support of our Patrol Division, whose attentiveness and teamwork were critical. Together we are making progress toward a safer Columbus County,” said Sheriff Bill Rogers.
