Student arrested for rape on campus

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – An East Carolina University student has been charged with one of the recent rapes on the East Carolina University campus.

Records show Connor Kendrick was arrested yesterday for second-degree forcible rape.

The 18-year-old has since posted $150,000 bail and been released from jail.

According to ECU, Kendirck is a first-year student at the university.

According to an arrest warrant, the rape happened on Oct. 24. It said the victim was “mentally disabled, intellectually disabled or physically helpless.”

ECU police say Kendrick's arrest is related to at least one assault on campus. According to a police report, Kendrick is charged with the Oct. 24 rape at Clement Hall.

Three rapes have been reported on campus since the end of September.

  • Tyler Hall on September 30th
  • Clement Hall October 24th
  • Garrett Hall on November 4th
