People were trapped in their vehicle in an accident in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Just before 6 p.m. Thursday, the Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to an accident at East Woodmen Drive and Havenwood Drive.

According to the fire department, at least one person was trapped in a vehicle in the accident.

At around 6 p.m., the fire department reported that they were able to pull one person out of the vehicle. The person's condition was stable and he was taken to a hospital.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department asked drivers to stay away from the area and find alternative routes while they assisted with the accident.
